Lesson Plan
Timing
Lab Activity/ Set up- 10 min.
Power point information-3-5 min.
Videos – 6-8 min.
Notes explanation- 5 min. minimum
Quiz Activity plus questions to clarify- 10 min.
Materials/Visual Aides- Notes hand out, power point, bead with string for lab,
cup/beaker, quiz activity, videos, lab materials, and other
informational pictures
Sources-

*more sources to come potentially, depending on videos*
Daily Objective/ Learning Goal- For students to understand the components of polymers and the different combinations of the covalent bonds of them. The difference between linear and branched and the difference between natural and synthetic polymers.
Segments- Lab activity; Power point with informational video; notes handout explanation; quiz
activity/info check
Notes Segment- General overview of polymers to clarify any confusion. It will
classify types and categories of polymers in detail. All students will receive
to view to answer quiz activity at the end to make sure the know the lesson
goal.
Activities- Studentswill complete lab activity to get involved in polymer information then
view a power point/video to clarify any questions on polymers. They will then
view a notes handout and prepare for quiz activity at the end for goal
check.
Assessment- Students will complete learning check at the end of
lesson to confirm knowledge on polymers and categories of
them.
Team Roles
Jordan- Notes segment and info graphic
Paul- Concept map(if time permits), website design, presentation power
point
Lorenzo: Game activity(if time permits), website design, talking in presentation and lab
leader
Caleb: Website information, quiz activity, bibliography, and power
point
