wHAT IS a POLYMER
The literal terminology of a polymer is a long chain-like structure made up by millions of monomers to create a substance. Some can have more/less monomers making up their molecular make-up than others. A polymer (branched/linear; Natural/Synthetic) is placed under the category of a macromolecule which includes all types of polmyers. From nylon ropes, to a tortoise shell, polymers can be found in many places in today's world.
General overview
Polymers have occured since the start of time with DNA in ancient dinosaurs and animals. Some polymers occur naturally to help or harm their enviorment like cellulose in trees. Others have been modified by humans to make life much easier and efficent like nylon in ropes or more efficient gasoline in cars. Some polmyers can be linear from their chain-like structural backbone and able to trace, meanwhile others are branched like trees from their chain-like sturctures. Either one can be modified into a synthetic polmyer and either of them can occur in natural as well.
